Eagle Awards - Voting Now Open

Just a quick Blog tonight. Though there should be a much larger one coming your way tomorrow. In part this is to try out blogging from my phone, something which is entirely new to me. But more importantly it's to make you all aware of something quite important.

Some of you may remember that a while back I posted up a link for you to make nominations for this year's Eagle Awards...




Well... Those nominations were counted, and today actual voting began.

For some of you, especially those who I speak to semi-regularly through Comic Book Resources, you might be a little disapointed that some of the nominations you wanted did not make the final cut. However, there are three categories which may be of interest to you.

The category of Favourite Editor, in which Nick Lowe has been nominated.

The category of Favourite American Colour Comic Book, in which Captain Britain and MI13 has been nominated.

And the category of Favourite Reprint Compilation, in which the Captain Britain Omnibus is nominated.

Now, I'm not saying that you MUST go and vote for these, but should you feel so inclined... :)

But most importantly, please do go and vote. The Eagle Awards are a British tradition which I for one would like to see taken seriously.
